Dr. Brett Greenky is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstruction, including total joint replacement, sports injuries and fracture care.

He received his medical degree from Upstate Medical University, a master’s of science degree from Long Island University and a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. His Joint Replacement Fellowship was done at The New England Baptist Hospital (Harvard and Tufts Universities).

As associate professor in orthopedics at Upstate Medical University, Dr. Greenky has trained over 150 surgeons in the art of joint arthroplasty, while co-directing The Joint Replacement Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. He is past president of both SOS and Specialists' One-Day Surgery, the nation’s #1 volume outpatient total knee replacement center.

He performs Hip Replacement surgery commonly using the Direct Superior Approach which preserves muscles and minimizes postoperative pain. He has extensive experience in Total and Partial Knee Replacement and has been a surgeon designer for some of today’s popular implants.

Dr. Brett Greenky is the Co-Executive Director and Founder of Operation Walk New York, a not-for-profit volunteer medical services organization that has for the last 14 years, provided free surgical treatments for patients in developing countries and in the United States.
